DESCRIPTION:The Dementia Symposium 2025Building a Dementia Friendly State – Made in WAPerth Convention and Exhibition Centre | 17th September\, 9:00am – 5:00pm The 2025 Dementia Symposium is a must-attend event for all Dementia Change Champions\, Practitioners\, Service Providers\, Carers and Administrators.This year’s Symposium celebrates the leadership\, collaboration and innovation happening right here in Western Australia to create more dementia-friendly communities.Join us to hear from voices across community\, advocacy\, government\, health\, tourism and lived-experience. Together we are all working to ensure people living with dementia feel valued\, included and supported to live well and age with dignity in the community.The program will open with a keynote address from the Hon Meredith Hammat MLA\, Minister for Health and Mental Health (WA). It will also share stories of Dementia Change Champions and showcase how communities are creating environments that foster connection and wellbeing.Attendees will gain insights into improving care services\, the importance of early detection and access to support\, dementia-friendly tourism in WA\, and the progress on the Cook Government’s recently announced WA State Dementia Action Plan.Attendance at The Dementia Symposium like many conferences\, workshops\, and seminars meets CPD criteria for healthcare professionals.
