Memory Cafés
In a select number of cafés across Perth, a very special morning tea takes place.
Dementia friendly communities play a significant role in enhancing the well-being, quality of life and social inclusion of people living with dementia and their families. The Memory cafés provide resources and support for caregivers and valuable respite services for individuals to help carers navigate the challenges of caring for their loved ones living with dementia.
In recognising the need to encourage the inclusion of people living with dementia in the local community, Alzheimer’s WA has partnered with local Government and businesses to bring the Memory Café concept to Western Australia.
Each of the cafés involved has an inviting and friendly atmosphere, employs delightful staff and offers delicious coffee and cake.
