Annual General Meeting 2025 – delivering care with good governance.

AGM 2025 Board members

WA’s leading dementia care organisation, Alzheimer’s WA held its 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) to a full house at The Boulevard Floreat Wednesday 9th December 2025.

The 2024 – 2025 Annual Report theme of “Creating a Dementia Friendly State” summarised our key achievements of the year. Alzheimer’s WA doubled its respite capacity with the opening of Don’s Cottage in Albany and Walker House in Woodvale becoming fully operational. The annual Dementia Symposium and Walk to Remember achieved record-breaking attendance and we proudly contributed to the early shaping of the State Dementia Action Plan.

Another important topic of discussion was the preparation for the changes to the Support at Home program, taking effect from November 1st, 2025.

Professor Warren Harding, AM and CEO, Ella Dachs delivered compelling addresses to members, reinforcing Alzheimer’s WA’s commitment to supporting people living with dementia and their families.

Alzheimer’s WA is pleased to announce the reappointment of the Board Office Bearers:

Professor Warren Harding AM – Chairman
Dr. Sean Maher – Deputy Chair and Honorary Medical Director
Mr. Mathew Budge – Finance Director

Guest Speaker, Ben Aylett gave attendees an insightful presentation on techniques and strategies for keeping safe online and avoiding scams.
